I had a lovely evening with my friend E.

She showed me the Marshall Fields windows, and we went inside and sat at a table by a window and caught up on our lives since we last saw each other.

Then we had dinner downtown in a quiet restaurant.

Chicago has not been as cold as I thought it would be, but according to weather chatterers, it is coming tonight and tomorrow.
