Saw the LOTR conclusion last night. A very nicely illustrated children's book, with monsters and hammy acting. The actors have few expressions that they use over and over. Frodo was particularly reduced to a couple of furtive glances, one representing evil, the other representing fear.

The hobbits look like younger children of the Partridge Family, perhaps joined by cousins of the Cowsills, on an adventure to save humankind.
