Dog and I took a walk this morning. The Colonel told me that during the extreme cold while we were gone, Franklin was exceptionally focused in doing his business and returning back inside as quickly as possible.

Temps were in the high 20s this morning, and it did not feel so cold to either of us. The water company continued laying pipe while I was away, and the construction along the street next to ours looks a mess.

Everyone I talk to today seems in awe of the cold and relieved that it is gone. It has rained mid-day, and we may get more ice or snow.
