Since dogwoods opened up early, the next big wave of color is from the lime blush of tree leaves breaking out. With a gray sky, all the greens in the landscape were richly accented with the blooming trees that are still showing color. The next round of spring has started, and soon we will see more perennials start to bloom.

I planted two lilacs in the front yard, old fashioned and scented.
