ending

Yesterday marked the ending of our time of grace. Warm temps moved through, and this morning the temps were in the high 60s (F). Then a front moved through and took some of the edge off of the heat.

Still, it's time to think that the giddiness of spring is almost over and the seriousness of the growing season is about to take place. The early blooming bulbs, shrubs and trees will drop their blossoms and pass on to perennials and roses the business of blooming.

I will pay closer attention to the soil and the need for moisture. Bugs are next. I must look for poison ivy (the birds around here do a great job at spreading its seed).

This was a particularly wonderful spring. I hope to remember it.
