heavy air

Humid and warm tonight and I walk through the garden looking at it from the hard light from the front porch, amazed at how vibrant and full the perennials are, as if somebody had brought them in while nobody was looking.

My white hydrangeas are now putting on their blooms as are the pink spirea. The astilbe are sending up flowering shoots (speaking of false spirea), and the oriental poppies are sending up buds.

I want to get into the garden and do some re-arranging. I hope the conditions are ok for this on Saturday.
