The weather chatters told us a cold front would move through for the next few days and it looks like they were right.
After a week of muggy weather and daily rain, we have blue skies, cool mornings and pleasant afternoons. Last night, the A.C. was off and the windows open.
I continue to mull over what plants to thin out of my front garden and move to the back. I'd like to expand one of the front beds all the way over to the drive that runs along side it -- right now there is about a two foot width strip of grass between the drive and rock edging.
But I tell myself, no.
Meanwhile, the storms (or a very tall truck) broke a major branch of the sweetgum tree, and now I have more limb cutting up work to do.
I need a week off to work in my garden, but alas that won't happen.
