singing school

Our parish choir director has started a Saturday morning tutorial for those of who are not so smart musically. We have paid section singers and several gifted amateur and professional singers in the choir, and then there are the rest of us. It's a voluntary thing, and he is modeling it (or adjusting it) after the Royal School of Music program that we use for our children choristers.

So we sing exercises around intervals and do all kinds of nifty stuff. At times I feel a bit slow, and other times it is little moments of aha, so that is how its done or that is what something means, a something I should have known but didn't.
