almost

The weather has been warm enough to garden -- get rid of dead brush, pull out weeds that are still alive (the ever present yard ivy) and add soil amendments.

But the rain has rolled in, little spurts here and there, making the ground muddy and the world a mushy gray.

Two months ahead, the weather feels as if spring is starting and the plants are acting accordingly. I hesitate to stir into action, knowing that this is February.

Rainy In Hammond too. Warmer temps in teh forties, we even hit fifty last weekend! But its a farce, mother nature's foolery that can't be trusted. She's playing with us like a cat with a mouse. But even the indoor plants are getting excited, and the coleous cuttings are suddenly taking off, as if they know, someday, they will be outside once again.

Thanks for the update, RiverStone. I've missed reading your blog. I didn't realize that you had changed URLs. I've corrected my blogroll.
