A smoggy haze continues to hang over the city combined with a brutal heat.

The cool spring has resulted in some of the best looking gardens that I've ever seen in Indy, a bit of irony that will possibly change if the heat continues without rain or some cooling down.

I continue to water, a change of habit for me, but usually heat like this comes toward the end of summer. By starting out so hot and dry, so early, there could be damage to plants transplanted or newly planted in spring.

Still each area of the garden only gets watered once a week. I prefer a deep soaking to multiple misting.
