Friday night and Saturday, we were warned of an approaching major storm. The storm by-passed Indianapolis, and left us with more heat and humidity.

Mowing the lawn Saturday morning felt like trekking through a jungle.

Today the temps are much cooler, the sky bluer, and even though I am going to have to water my garden this week, I am for the most part delighted that outdoors is not so hot and sticky.

Last night, we ate green beans and tomatoes out of our shared vegetable garden. If only, in the middle of January, the in-store tomatoes had one eighth of the flavor of these beautiful red tomatoes coming out of our garden. Alas.
