mid-summer

A little humid but the temps have fallen and today it is only supposed to get up to about 80 (F).  We got another rainfall last evening, which means that weeding will go much easier this weekend.  And I won't have to water the flower beds for at least a few days.

Yesterday was an awful day, hot and terribly humid, the air puffy and gauzy, without a breeze. 

I am starting to feel that slowness that comes with this time of year.  My energy level has dropped and my interest is waning beyond reading a little, walking a little, visiting a little with friends.

Wake up, I tell myself.  Get moving.  I prefer a little inspiration from the weather and perhaps this weekend will be moderate and cool.  Which means I will be outside, something I prefer.  It also means I am getting a bit stir crazy for vacation, for which I must wait a little while longer.
