Thinking about the church of Broadway reminded me of Dark Habits, Pedro Almodóvar's 1983 film about a strange convent in Madrid. Among the oddities is a priest and a nun who dress up old saint statues with Cecil Beaton's designs from the movie version of My Fair Lady.
