William Greider, the national political affairs writer for The Nation, says here why he supports Dean for president.
My own perception of Dean when he was Vermont's governor was that he was a good government kind of guy, making government work, trying to keep his budgets balanced, overall an image of being fair and sane.
I also like the idea of his not being afraid to stand up and fight, that is, to not be afraid to face adversity in political debate.
I haven't decided which Democrat I am supporting, but I like Dean's feistiness, I like his re-creating what a campaign looks like, particularly building up strong grass-roots and internet support.
