Wesley's genious

Small groups help a lot.

When we were there, we participated in a vigerous Disciple's bibly study group as well as the friendly bridge group. I had a small group of gardening friends who worked in the church's garden (and each other's). Numerous other little groups abound, an opportunity to again share one's life with others in the community in ways that never felt cultish or insular.

People struggle with issues. They ask hard questions more than they give answers. They affirm and support each other.

In a city where life can be hard and tough, Dumbarton provides a place of affirmation and support.
