little faith

I started worrying about my bare-rooted roses, in the ground for a month, and only one of them sending out sprouts. Oh me, lacking in faith.

I probably over-watered, something I am not instinctively inclined to do -- one of my DAE Mayflowers in the neighborhood is showing severe yellow leafing. I am hopeful the heat will help balance that.

The DAE Winchester Cathedral is sprouting nicely. The DAE Graham Thomas and Reine Victoria have been reluctant to participate in what we call my garden.

Last night I found swelling and bumps on the two remaining roses. Good signs for growth. Roll the close-up on Susan Hayward. They want to live.
