I went ahead and chose a new Blogger template. I like the cleaner look, but still plan to tweak it more.
I decided to keep the old comment tool, but this is interfering with the new Blogger comment tool. If you click on theirs, it will take you to the old one. Not very elegant, and perhaps I can figure out a solution.

I commented on the Haloscan screen too.
I finally dis-connected haloscan. It got too difficult to keep it here. Sorry, but I didn't get your comments.
