anti-family, part one

Yesterday, I briefly saw a local tv newscast that showed the President of some of the American people talking via satellite to the Southern Baptist Convention which is meeting in our city this week.

Perhaps the President's earpiece was not working well, but he was almost shouting his words as he looked into the camera and enunciated his support of an amendment to the U.S. Constitution banning equality for gay and lesbian families.

There he was, shouting out the code words as if he were working hard to get them to see that he is against gay families and their equal protection under the law.

This past weekend, a Catholic reporter commented on Bush's encouragement of the Pope to get American bishops behind his administration's support of this amendment, as well as other hot-button issues like abortion.

He truly is determined to be the George Wallace of this time in our country's life.
