The Bishop of Indianapolis celebrated at both services yesterday and spoke at the adult forum between services. Within the last two weeks she also attended chapel at St. Richards and met with our vestry. This is part of her biannual visit to the parish.
Church was full, and the choir sang Howell's Jubilate and a piece from Purcell. Bishop Cate wears what can only be described as a jaunty miter, tilted back. Her sermon was very encouraging, touching upon how God's people discover what God intends and how uncomfortable we are in that process.
