flakes

The last week has been unusual, with lots of snow, and not that much accumulation on the ground. In fact, the snow on the ground has been receding since the heavy fall over a week ago. And yet it falls each day, enough to make me feel as if I am in the middle of a private snow globe.

No snow today. It was four degrees (F) this morning, and we had a clear blue sky all day. They're talking forty degrees by Christmas. This weekend the weather lady said that we had 7+ inches more snow than normal this month already, but only a fraction of the rain we usually get. "Don't worry," she said, we're still getting moisture from the snowfalls."

Right. We didn't know that.
