While having little to do with gardening, Indianapolis, etc., how could we go through this day and not be grateful for the music of Mozart? Today's his 250th birthday.
When I was in college, the late poet John Ciardi spoke at "chapel" -- I think they had changed the name to University Forum, but it was still being called that -- and he said that we students could never have heads too stuffed with Mozart. Or something like that. I don't remember any other speaker's words of wisdom, but that one has stuck.
What would the world would be like without his music?

While driving out of Richmond, VA today, I noticed the forsythia there are already starting to bloom. What a crazy winter!
