snow fell

...as they promised, not in the middle of the night, but sometime around 6:00 am today. In some ways, as the cold, wet snow fell in a slashing vertical slant because of the strong wind, it felt easy to drive to work at a snail's pace, knowing that nobody else was moving any faster.

I had a work related appointment in the northern part of the state that was canceled. The world outside is better viewed from a window than experienced out in it. The wind gusts continue.

The snow stopped around lunch, but it is falling again this afternoon.
