it rained

I started serious soaking of stressed plants on last Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We got one very intense 30 minute cloudburst on Saturday, enough to wet things, but not really get into the ground.

And then Sunday, it rained almost all day, off and on. It was amazing, something I still find a bit unusual. This was kicked off by the remnants of the tropical storm that had come ashore from the Gulf of Mexico and had made its way up to Indiana.

Now, other frontal systems are getting in the mix, and there are a lot of storms in Illinois. Perhaps, we will get more moisture from that.

The humidity is at 90%, and the skies are mostly blue, which speaks of a great amount of humid air.
